Phone Limiter

Phone Limiter privacy policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

Phone Limiter is an Android app for setting personal app limits and scheduled block windows. This policy explains how the beta app handles information. For privacy questions, contact support@prifecto.com.

Information accessed on your device

The app reads the names, package identifiers, and icons of launchable apps so you can choose apps to limit. With your consent and Android Accessibility access, it observes window-change events and the package identifier of the foreground app. This lets it recognize selected apps, measure their foreground time, and enforce the rules you set. The service does not retrieve screen content, read messages, record what you type, or capture screenshots.

The app also checks whether its permissions are enabled, whether Android battery restrictions apply, and whether the screen is on or off. These checks support setup and usage timing.

Information stored and its purpose

Phone Limiter stores your selected app identifiers, daily limits, block-window times, the current day's foreground usage and five-minute extensions, and recent per-app daily usage history. It may store an active usage-session checkpoint to resume timing after a brief service restart. It also stores your permission-disclosure consent. Rules support blocking; usage totals support allowances and the seven-day history.

This information is held in private app storage on your phone. Other ordinary apps cannot directly read that storage. The beta excludes its private data from Android's app backup and device-transfer mechanisms. The app does not offer cloud sync or export.

Permissions and your choices

Accessibility access is requested through a separate in-app disclosure and your affirmative choice before opening Android settings. Display-over-other-apps access allows Phone Limiter to draw a block screen over a selected app. Optional battery settings may improve reliability. When you choose to leave a blocked app, Phone Limiter returns you to your device's home screen.

You may decline permissions, change rules, remove a selected app, or disable access at any time in Android settings. Blocking and tracking require the relevant permissions and may be affected by your device's battery management. Phone Limiter does not prevent you from disabling it or uninstalling it.

Sharing and services

The beta app operates offline and does not transmit your rules, installed-app information, or usage history to the developer or to third parties. It has no account system, advertising, analytics SDK, or remote crash-reporting service. Fonts are bundled with the app.

Android, Google Play, and your device manufacturer operate their own services under their own policies. If you choose to contact support by email, your email provider and our email provider process that correspondence. Please avoid including app-usage details or other sensitive information unless necessary for your question. Support correspondence is separate from the app's local storage.

Retention and deletion

The History screen shows a rolling seven-day period, including today. Older daily history is removed when the app processes a new calendar day; it may remain in local storage while the app is not running. Daily allowances and extensions reset when a new day is processed. Rules remain until you change or delete them. Saved consent remains until you clear the app's storage or uninstall it.

Removing an app's rule stops future tracking for that rule, but does not erase its recent usage history. To delete all local app data, use Android Settings > Apps > Phone Limiter > Storage > Clear storage, or uninstall Phone Limiter. Menu names may vary by device. There is no online account or server copy for us to delete. Because the developer cannot access your local app data, deletion must be performed on your device.

Support emails are retained only as needed to handle the inquiry and any follow-up, subject to applicable record-keeping obligations. To request deletion of support correspondence, contact support@prifecto.com.

Policy changes

We may update this policy if the app's behavior changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. Questions about this policy can be sent to support@prifecto.com.
